Meet Dazzle!

Dazzle is from our only breeding to Hitman RE MX MXJ BCAT CA DE DMA DSA ASA CGCA CGCU (Ryder/Spryte) and AKC CH Story RN CGC TKI PT born November 2, 2023. There are 5 amazing puppies from this breeding, click here to read more about the litter. While we had not completely planned on keeping a puppy, she just had to stay! To say I am smitten and obsessed with her would be an understatement.

Dazzle is exactly what her name suggests—bold, bright, in your face and impossible to ignore (especially since she bounces head height in your face). Never have I met a dog who thinks so highly of themself. From the moment she was born, she made it clear that she was staying here. At just 17 days old, she decided I was hers and our connection has been undeniable ever since. She is wild, sassy, pushy, brilliant…..my ride-or-die. She’s sweet when she wants to be, a little too bouncy sometimes, is often waaaaay too fast (why does everything have to be a race?) but mostly she’s a “snitches get stitches, give-no-S***s” kind of girl, and I wouldn’t have her any other way.

Dazzle is a hard worker and has great work ethic : driven, focused, and always thinking outside the box (for better or worse!). She picks up new behaviors and tricks in just a few reps and thrives when challenged. At just 5.5 weeks old, she was already offering a natural retrieve to hand, bouncing back with the toy and proudly delivering it. Her toy and food drive are equally strong,  she switches between the two flawlessly, and she brings a level of intensity and joy to training that keeps me constantly on my toes…..every single day.

She’s definitely been both the best “worst” puppy I’ve ever had, equal parts brilliant and naughty, but that combination is what makes her so much fun. She’s a problem solver, a boundary tester, rewrites the rulebook, and a constant reminder that she's appropriately named “all I Never/Ever wanted”.

At just 16 weeks old, Dazzle earned her Canine Good Citizen (CGC), Trick Dog Novice, and Trick Dog Intermediate titles. At six months old she earned her Rally Novice title.  Now at 18 months old, we’re having an absolute blast working through and finishing up her sport foundations. Dazzle is proving to be a fantastic little teammate: engaged, sharp, driven, and fully committed to whatever’s in front of her. Agility has become her most favorite thing and she's a lovely jumper, has great natural distance, would happily do a million reps if I wanted her to, and really is going to be such a fun dog to trial. We may dabble in other things along the way like dock and scent work, but for now agility will be our main focus. She made her AKC Standard debut in September 2025 and did a clean sweep of Novice straight to Excellent and is now in Masters.

Dazzle has been shown very selectively in the breed ring, as conformation has not been and will not be our primary focus and with limited showing she quickly finished her Championship from the Bred By class March 2026. At her debut, she picked several points (no majors available)  and a Bred-By Exhibitor Group 4 placement, followed by a 5-point major win from the BBE class under esteemed judge Danelle Brown at her second show. Ms. Brown's comments were “she looks like she could go all day” and “she's a live-wire”. At her third show, she completed her Championship with a 4 point major win under Ms. Linda Robey, who previously has awarded majors to her auntie Cupcake (Hops/Spryte) and cousin Firefly (ReCon/Shine).

Dazzle reminds me so much of her paternal grandmother, AKC CH Spryte RN BCAT ACT1 DSA TT, and a lot of the daughters she produced for me with that sass, salt and spicy attitude.  She is also a MACH2 PACH Player RN MXS MJB MXP2 MJP2 BCAT DMA DSX AMX ASA PT great granddaughter, as daddy Hitman is from our Ryder/Spryte litter and granddaddy Ryder is from our Player/Jenga! litter, making Dazzle a third generation on that Player side and a second generation on the Spryte side!  I love seeing so many mannerisms and traits shining down from her relatives on both sides in Dazzle.

Stay tuned as Dazzle's journey in dog sports begins! I feel so lucky to have her by my side and can’t wait to see where this wild, wonderful journey takes us.
